In Marquesas, he found himself as a positive motivator of the Rotu tribe, forming close bonds with the entirety of the tribe. He found himself struggling with the combination of the strategic aspect of the game and his own Christian faith, but eventually learned to separate the two upon reaching the merge. His close bond with Duana ultimately led to his betrayal of allies James and Tish, but gave him the position he needed to outlast his alliance and reach the end stage of the game. Unfortunately, neither he or Duana was able to beat Daisy in the final immunity challenge, resulting in her voting him out as the final member of the jury.
