Story

Day 12 (Night)

The Samburu tribe return to camp after a shocking tribal council where Phoebe became the first person to ever officially quit the game. Briallen, relieved to have survived the tribal council against all odds, immediately goes off alone to one side, not wanting to talk to her tribe mates, knowing that had Phoebe not quit she'd have gone home.

I'm both irritated and ecstatic right now. Irritated because my tribe were going to vote me out over someone who didn't want to be here. But ecstatic because Phoebe quit the game. Thank God there was someone so ungrateful that they willingly gave up their position here, a position that so many people crave. I just want to rub it in all their faces, but I know that I'm still on thin ice. I need my tribe to win the next two challenges so I can get to the merge and play my own game... I wasn't ever flipping on this tribe, but now I have no other choice.

–Briallen

Quote1I cant believe she did that.Quote2- Adela
Quote1I can.Quote2- Luigino
Quote1It really is a shame.Quote2- Ingrid
Quote1Is it? I feel great right now, no more miss mopey sitting around consuming our rice.Quote2- Luigino
Quote1Well at least she's happy now, its nice to know she wont be suffering anymore.Quote2- Ingrid
Tonight Phoebe left the game, and now the tribe is in a messy position. I really don't know what we'll do at this point because we're screwed no matter what. I just pray that something comes along to fix this whole thing for me.

–David

I'm freakin' excited. Finally I can get back to the game without Phoebe sitting around ruining my experience! Ingrid is being her same old stupid self. 'At least she's not suffering', she wasn't suffering in the first place you silly old bat!

–Luigino

The Samburu tribe all head to sleep, with no one talking to Briallen, not quite sure as to what they should be saying to her.

Day 13

Boran

The Boran tribe awakens to an unusual tree mail, which informs them that they must send three of their members to the drop off point (the same point they arrived at on day one). The mail simply states that these three members will go on a "quest". Kris immediately volunteers himself, excited at the prospect of going on any form of quest. The group then discuss which members they feel should join Kris. Don and Abbas opt themselves out, as both wish to stay and finish their work on the tribes perimeter. Soledad is then selected to join Kris, as the group feel that their "leader" should be present on this journey, much to the annoyance of Phillis, who views herself as more of a leader. The tribe then vote between Mary, Marsha and Phillis, with Mary gaining the most votes to join the three on the quest.

I think Mary's had it tough these last few days, and this quest was what she needed to see that we as a tribe really do value her.

–Abbas

I don't know what the hell the tribe was thinking. Soledad, Mary and Kris over myself, Abbas and Don!? Really? The three members who have their heads out their asses and we're left behind? I hope this involves no decision making for the tribe because if it does we're screwed.

–Phillis

Kris, Soledad and Mary head off, using their map to reach their intended destination.

Samburu

The Samburu tribe awakens to an unusual tree mail, which informs them that they must send three of their members to the drop off point (the same point they arrived at on day one). The mail simply states that these three members will go on a "quest". No one immediately volunteers for the tribe, with everyone somewhat weary as to what it could mean. After several minutes of debating, the tribe agree to send David, who has become the de-facto leader since Renato's elimination. Luigino and Ingrid are then selected as the next two members, both of whom seemed more eager then Briallen (who is showing little interest in tribe activities) and Adela (who wished to stay behind to try and form a closer bond with outsider Briallen).

So I'm now taking Luigino and Ingrid on a quest. I feel as though I'm their care worker and its like a day trip or something (laughs)

–David

I think its wise I stay behind with Briallen, and that the others go. Of us all I have the best odds of becoming tight with her, because we really do need her in this game, and if others refuse to see this then they're being ignorant. We're at a point where the numbers cant dwindle, and allowing Briallen to remain astray is effectively handing the power over to Boran.

–Adela

The three head off, using their map to reach their intended location.

The Twist

The six contestants selected to go on the quest arrive at the drop off point where Jeff is waiting for them. The six look at one another, somewhat apprehensive as to what is about to occur. Jeff welcomes the contestants, before explaining what is about to occur.

Quote1Welcome to day thirteen of Survivor. Brought you back to this original drop point, where it all began, for what I think is going to be a very interesting day. Boran

Abbas, Don, Marsha and Phillis sit at camp awaiting the return of their three missing tribe members. Don sees three individuals in the distance, assuming it is the returning players, he informs the group of their return. However, as the three get closer it becomes clear that it is not the three they expected.

We saw some people coming closer in the distance, and of course we just assumed it was the group returning to tell us that they selected items for a reward or something. It wasn't a particularly nice surprise when we realized that it was Samburu members walking up to us... wearing our tribes buff.

–Abbas

Quote1What the hell...Quote2- Marsha
Quote1Oh my God!Quote2- Phillis
Quote1Hi guys...Quote2- David
My heart sank. I didn't know what to think. I didn't know if the others were now out of the game, if something was wrong, if we were merging... But all I knew was Mary aint here and I'm on my own.

–Marsha

Quote1What's happening?Quote2- Don
Quote1Well, we're now members of Boran.Quote2- Ingrid
Quote1Why?Quote2- Phillis
Quote1We got swapped to this tribe, and the others are now on Samburu.Quote2- David
Quote1On Samburu!?Quote2- Marsha
Quote1Yep.Quote2- David
Why... Why did I have to be the one to volunteer to leave? Ugh, I'm now stuck on a tribe with the two senior members from Samburu, and there's four Boran stood over us knowing they've got us cornered.

–David

It sucks to have been moved to this new Boran tribe. I was happy at Samburu, I had all my stuff there... Now I'm in this camp with all these people I don't know, all these people who'll think I'm a jackass. S**t.

–Luigino

The group all sit together to discuss the change in the game, whilst going through introductions. The three ex-Samburu members are clearly all uncomfortable with the change in game, particularly David, who feels as though he is the biggest target of the three that were swapped. Phillis and Don both grill the new arrivals, trying to gather as much information on Samburu as possible. Ingrid unintentionally reveals a lot about the tribes past, talking about the problems with Briallen, Phoebe and Roland, also revealing that Luigino has votes against him.

Really Ingrid?! You're going to just tell them everything about us?! We're already screwed I may as well get her out before me.

–Luigino

Phillis and Don really got to work questioning us today, which I saw right through, as did Luigino. Sadly for us Ingrid isn't the smartest person in this game, and she basically told them everything they wanted to know. Now that they know Luigino has votes against him he'll stick around, because he's already a tainted individual, whereas if we lose they can just ditch me right away... Bigger threat, no votes against me... I'm in a much better position than Lui and Ingrid, both of whom have votes against their names.

–David

Quote1So what about you guys? How's Boran been?Quote2- David
Quote1Pretty good I guess. I mean the only issue anyone ever had was with Neville, hence why he isn't here anymore (laughs)Quote2- Abbas
Quote1Yeah, apart from that we've not had to worry because... Y'knowQuote2- Phillis
Quote1Yeah, you guys haven't exactly been on a losing streak (laughs)Quote2- Ingrid

The tribe continue spending their day getting to know the new members, with Phillis realizing the positives that have come from the swap.

This tribe swap is absolutely brilliant for my game. I've now gotten Mary and Soledad out the way, and we've got three struggling Samburu members under our control. Its time that I really stepped up and took control of this tribe, because there's no one trying to be a faux-leader, and the people around me need all the help they can get. Perfection would be sending Samburu back to tribal council, where they're picked off one by one, because no one on the other tribe has any real use to my game anymore.

–Phillis

Samburu

Adela and Briallen sit talking together, with Adela hoping to make Briallen feel more included in the tribe dynamics, preventing her from potentially flipping if they reach a merge. However, the conversation is interrupted by the arrival of three new members.

Quote1Hello strangers...Quote2- Soledad
Quote1What the...Quote2- Adela
Quote1Oh my God! What's going on!?Quote2- Briallen
I wanted to know what they wanted, why they were here... Where David, Luigino and Ingrid were...

–Adela

Quote1Say hello to your new members (laughs)Quote2- Soledad
Quote1What!?Quote2- Briallen
Quote1We've been moved to your tribe.Quote2- Mary
Now this is how you shake up the game...

–Briallen

The group begin discussing the tribe swap, with both Adela and Briallen desperate to know what has occurred, finding out that their old three members have now joined Boran, and that Kris, Soledad and Mary will be permanent members of their tribe. Briallen seems to get along with the new tribe members, joking that she thought they were coming to raid their camp.

Raid your camp? Really? What would we take? The non-existent pile of firewood lying around...

–Kris

Adela sits back and observes the situation, feeling immediately on the outs with the new tribe, realizing that Briallen will use the opportunity to work her way into a new tribe. Soledad quickly asserts herself as the leader once again, grooming Briallen and speaking on behalf of the Boran tribe.

I'm seriously f**ked now. I've got Briallen jumping ship, and three new tribe members who will vote me out in a heartbeat. I've gone from a solid position to the worst position in the game. It seems as though Soledad is the one wearing the trousers... both literally and figuratively... So I've got to get in her good books. I know this is Survivor and there's never a united tribe, so it wouldn't shock me if Mary or Kris were actually outcasts... Maybe they're willing to flip to myself and Briallen and we can shake up the game... The problem is the game's already been shaken, and I've ended up on the bottom.

–Adela

This is both good and bad for me. Good because I feel I have easy control over this small tribe, especially with Mary and Kris by my side. We have the safety net of both Briallen and Adela here, so that if we do lose the next challenge then we can always just vote them out. But its bad at the same time because now I'm away from my tribe, away from my allies... I don't know what's going on there... For all I know they're making a pact as a new group to take us out at the merge, and if that is the case then I best do the same over here. But then again I don't know this is even the case! My paranoia is going out of control and I need to rethink my whole strategy because of this stupid red buff!

–Soledad

Day 14

Challenge: Get Your Goat
Forty goats are in a pen. Twenty are marked with the Samburu red and twenty with Boran yellow. The first tribe to get their twenty goats from the starting pen into their destination pens, one hundred yards away, wins.

Boran

The Boran tribe returns to camp having just won the reward challenge, earning themselves three egg laying hens. Abbas and David lay the hens down once arriving back at camp, before the group take a vote as to what the fate of the hens should be.

Quote1We all agree to prioritize the constant source of food right? From the eggs?Quote2- David
Quote1That's what I'd suggest.Quote2- Abbas
Quote1Yep, I agree.Quote2- Marsha
Quote1Anyone against it? No? Alright, guess we got our decisions.Quote2- David
So today we won three chickens, which is going to benefit our new tribe a great deal. Considering we've already got an advantage over Samburu I'd say this could be the nail in their coffin, and that they come to the merge with three people left. I do worry that Adela wont make it further, especially considering she's my closest ally in this game. But I suppose its self preservation, and that means her going means I've made it that one step further to the merge, which is exactly where I need to be.

–David

We won us some chickens today. (begins clucking, then laughs) This new tribe is just great, I mean its much nicer then Samburu, which looks a bit like the slums compared to Boran.

–Ingrid

After returning from the reward, the Boran tribe begin to work on their camp, making sure they have enough firewood and water to keep them going throughout the next few days. However, the old Samburu members appear to be lacking in their contributions, all sitting around as opposed to pulling their weight, much to the annoyance of Don.

When you get back from these challenges you're exhausted. But you're going to be a great deal more exhausted if you don't get water to drink, and fire to boil it with. These three new members really aint my kind of team members that I want to keep here y'know? I thought maybe that Luigino and Ingrid, as two other senile players, would reciprocate my work ethic, but it seems they'd both rather sit around and be waited on. Well that's not how we do things here over on Boran...

–Don

Quote1Is anyone going to speak to them?Quote2- Don
Quote1What about? Not working?Quote2- Marsha
Quote1Yeah. I mean look at them. Sitting on their asses whilst we bust ours.Quote2- Don
Quote1I know, but I wouldn't know how to say it without them getting mad.Quote2- Marsha
Quote1You want me to say something, then I will.Quote2- Phillis
Quote1Maybe we should just, speak to one of them...Quote2- Abbas
Quote1No, they all should here this.Quote2- Phillis

Phillis stops working and walks over to the old Samburu members, asking why the three of them feel they can sit around whilst there is work to be done. Phillis' tone comes across as aggressive, causing Abbas to look away in horror.

As soon as Phillis says she's going to do anything I panic inside because I've seen how she deals with situations, and its not good. She doesn't have very good people skills. I suppose its not something you need when you're working in a lab all day. She really is a loose cannon, but she's someone who seems to control others through fear. Its absolutely ridiculous because she shouldn't intimidate anyone when we hold the power to collectively vote her out.

–Abbas

I'm sat there, and this crazy lady comes storming over telling me to get up and to work. So earlier today she tells me I cant compete in the challenge, and now she's telling me when I have to work. Does she want to tell me when I wipe my ass too!? I thought I escaped the lunacy over on Samburu but it seems that its tainted this tribe too.

–Luigino

Quote1I'll help when I'm ready.Quote2- Luigino
Quote1When you're ready? Right so does this whole thing revolve around you?Quote2- Phillis
Quote1Of course it does.Quote2- Luigino
Quote1You're hilarious.Quote2- Phillis
I don't know what Samburu have been doing since this game started. Most likely sitting on their butts and eating non-stop because they are the laziest individuals I've ever seen in my life. I go over and ask them to pitch in, and I'm met by rudeness from Luigino, who seems to feel he's above working. Well I've got news for him, next time we go to tribal council he can be the one going home.

–Phillis

Quote1Listen, we just need adjusting to how things work over here ok? It wasn't meant to be insulting, we're just not familiar with this style of working. We'll get right on it though.Quote2- David
Quote1I think we're just a little worn out from all those goats (laughs)Quote2- Ingrid
Quote1Probably (gives a slight smile)Quote2- David
Quote1Fine, but its day fourteen out here, you shouldn't need me telling you when to get wood.Quote2- Phillis
God Phillis is awful. She's just loud, aggressive and completely unfamiliar with social skills. I thought Luigino was bad but she really does take the crown on this one. Its like he argues with her and manages to look like a reasonable guy despite his own attitude (laughs). I'm trying to play the game as best as possible, making myself appear as the most reasonable of our three. Hopefully this way I can form bonds with the Boran members, and go into the merge with the security of new found allies, replacing those I'm bound to lose in my old Samburu members.

–David

David, Luigino and Ingrid get to work around the camp, pitching in as much as possible, pleasing the old Boran members.

Samburu

The Samburu tribe returns to camp having just lost the reward challenge, losing out on the egg laying hens. The now demoralized tribe sits around the burnt out fire pit, all discussing what they'd have done with eggs and chicken had they won. Kris begins talking about food, to the point that his tribe members become annoyed, with Soledad politely asking that he stops.

Losing today definitely showed me how bad this new tribe is, and how likely it is that we're going to suck going into the immunity challenge tomorrow. I suppose its nice knowing that Adela and Briallen are here, as it gives us two easy votes. But my biggest worry is handing too much power to the new Boran tribe, who could be a cohesive unit already, plotting to take me out first come merge.

–Soledad

I'm extremely worried now I know how weak we are in comparison to the new Boran tribe. I mean we've got one guy for God's sake... One guy who limps around places and seems to lack the capacity to think. I'm frustrated because even when the tribes changed up I still find myself in a c****y position. Maybe this game just wasn't mean to be. My best bet is to get close with Soledad and Mary, because they definitely both hold the power in terms of voting. If I can get them to target Adela over myself then I've bought myself another three days out here... Which could be enough to propel me towards the million dollars.

–Briallen

The five Samburu members sit together talking for some time, with Mary rubbing Kris' swollen ankle, which hasn't improved over time, casting doubt into her mind over whether he'll be able to be an asset going into the next few challenges.

Kris' fall the other day has really come back to not only bite him in the ass, but the rest of us too. He's the most naturally athletic person on this tribe, but he's now the slowest due to his ankle. I think we're almost guaranteed to lose tomorrow, and that we have to be prepared to send someone home. I cant see myself or Soledad turning on Kris because we want to prevent Briallen and Adela taking any power back into their hands. It does surprise me that neither one of them has made an extra effort to really work out how they can guarantee their own safety. I know if I was in a position where my head was on the chopping block I'd be campaigning to keep myself safe, particularly with the large amount of money on the line.

–Mary

Quote1Alright, enough lying around. Got to get this camp into shape.Quote2- Soledad
Quote1Into shape?Quote2- Briallen
Quote1You've barely got any wood lying around.Quote2- Soledad
Quote1Shouldnt we just get it when we need it?Quote2- Briallen
Quote1That's what we'd do... before.Quote2- Adela
Quote1Well times have changed.Quote2- Soledad
Quote1Its better this way, means we can just keep the fire going with ease. Collecting in bulk proved to be beneficial... for us at least.Quote2- Mary
Soledad does like to take control. There's something about her which can rub me the wrong way. She's very authoritarian and I'm a firm democratic liberal (laughs)

–Briallen

I don't like the fact that this is our camp, and we've got three strangers walking in and trying to enforce this rule over us. It's not so much Mary and Kris, because they're submissive towards the one calling the shots... Soledad.

–Adela

Quote1We've got to move quickly guys. It'll be dark and I don't know about you but I like the fire at night.Quote2- Soledad
Quote1Getting it now...Quote2- Adela

The group get to work around the camp, with Kris' hobbling around collecting wood, trying not to look weak in front of his tribe members. The girls all praise Kris, proud of his efforts despite clearly being in pain. After collecting enough firewood, the tribe settle down for the evening, with both Briallen and Adela attempting to grow stronger bonds with the old Boran members, knowing that they are competing between themselves to survive the next tribal council.

Being our first full day I'm proud with what the tribe managed to achieve. Adela and Briallen have both been pleasant and are happy to change their reluctance to work so that we can all be happy as a tribe. Kris has been fantastic, a real trooper. Mary is definitely a source of moral in the group, and she's someone that I feel I can confide in, particularly seeing as Don and Abbas are no longer with me. We've effectively turned Samburu from a two star motel into a three star Travelodge... There's still work to do, but we're getting there... And to think Neville said I couldn't lead (laughs)

–Soledad

Day 15

Challenge: Puzzle of Shields
Both tribes will have twenty giant puzzle pieces. First team to complete their puzzle wins.
Winner: Boran
Information (Boran): Abbas, Don, Marsha and Phillis all perform well, solving the puzzle quickly and effectively. Luigino somewhat struggles, unable to work it out for himself, although he contributes well, despite not attempting to take the lead.
Information (Samburu): Adela, Mary and Soledad perform averagely, all struggling to solve the puzzle, but working well enough together to keep the tribe placing pieces down. Briallen and Kris perform poorly, both stepping back, unable to solve the puzzle, ultimately costing the tribe the win.

Samburu

Samburu return to camp having just lost the immunity challenge, all having expected to lose since failing to win the previous reward challenge. Adela and Briallen stand together, both looking somewhat deflated, knowing that they must now scramble to keep themselves in the game. Kris goes to lie down, quickly requesting that Mary informs him of the vote before tribal council, which she promises to do.

So today we lost the challenge... It isn't shocking, we all expected this. It seems that Kris doesn't want to make any decisions tonight, so it'll be down to myself and Soledad to pick who goes home between Adela and Briallen. If we want to go based off strength, I'd have to say Adela needs to stay... But is strength what we want in this game? Would it be more beneficial to remove someone like that before we merge? These are the questions I'm asking myself. Then there's Briallen, who is definitely weaker, and with her and Kris here its likely that we'd lose again tomorrow. Briallen is a grand... she's just lovely... but it has to be said that her going would help us win the next few challenges.

–Mary

Quote1What do you want to do?Quote2- Mary
Quote1Talk to them both, then make the decision.Quote2- Soledad
Quote1Sounds simple enough.Quote2- Mary
Quote1Hopefully it'll be an easy decision.Quote2- Soledad

Adela and Briallen talk together for some time, both accepting that one of them is going to leave the game. They both agree to let the other have time with Soledad and Mary, giving both of them a fair chance to plead their case as to why they should be kept.

Quote1It sucks that we ended up being the ones here...Quote2- Adela
Quote1Yeah it does. Just the way it went though, and we've got to live with that.Quote2- Briallen
Quote1I feel awful because I like you... I... I don't want to just slag you off to them.Quote2- Adela
Quote1Then don't... (laughs) I'm kidding... It has to be done sadly. We have no other options. They wont turn on each other.Quote2- Briallen
Quote1Well I just wish I'd spoken to you less now... So I wouldn't feel so bad about competing with you tonight (laughs, before hugging Briallen)Quote2- Adela
Its now time for me to give everything I've got when talking to Soledad and Mary. I love Briallen, she's a great girl and someone that I'd definitely keep in touch with. Sadly this all happened quite late, and I spent the first few days out here against her. I've thought about what I'm going to say, and I definitely feel in terms of the game it would make more sense if I stayed. I think if I go tonight, Samburu will lose the next challenge, and Briallen will go at the next tribal. But if Briallen goes, then I think we'd have a better shot at winning, getting the four of us to the merge... I just hope that I can convince Soledad that I'm the right person to stick around.

–Adela

It isn't easy finding ways to get the others to vote Adela. She isn't rude, she isn't weak in challenges, and she pulls her weight around camp. Although I suppose I could always use the excuse that she's too good of a player, and that she's going to be tough to beat when the individual challenges kick off. Considering her alliance with David too, that could also work in my favor... I don't want to campaign against her, but I have to.

–Briallen

Quote1So why do you think it should be Adela? You know its either you or her... Its hard for us but its just the best thing for our games.Quote2- Soledad
Quote1Of course. I mean, I know today I sucked... But looking at the wider picture here, I'm the safer option to take forward in this game for several reasons... You both can easily beat me in challenges, I'm not going to be a physical threat... I've been on the outs of my tribe since the beginning, and I don't have any existing relationship with the other Samburu members, while Adela does... She's been in an alliance with David since the start, and once we merge they'll be back together controlling the game. That's all I've got... I hope its enough (laughs nervously)Quote2- Briallen
Quote1You think Adela would definitely flip to the other Samburu at the merge?Quote2- Soledad
Quote1Absolutely, why wouldn't she?Quote2- Briallen
I tried my best. I don't know how it sounded, but hopefully it was reasonable enough for them to consider keeping me. I slipped through tribal councils before, so hopefully I can do it now. If I go then... At least I tried.

–Briallen

Quote1Are you ready for me now? (laughs)Quote2- Adela
Quote1Yep. God this feels horrible...Quote2- Mary
Quote1I know, I feel too... powerful.Quote2- Soledad
Quote1Well you both hold the power so its only natural I suppose. I feel the simplest reason you should keep me tonight is that I can offer us strength in challenges, something Bri cant do. If you keep her over me I can guarantee you'll lose the next challenge, and you'll be forced to vote her out anyway, so she really cant offer you anything going into the merge, as its unlikely she'll even be there.Quote2- Adela
Quote1And you can offer us something?Quote2- Soledad
Quote1That depends what it is (bites her lip and laughs)Quote2- Adela
Quote1Well Briallen told us you have a bond with David... Surely that's your alliance in the merge? Wouldn't it be safer just to take you out now?Quote2- Soledad
Quote1Absolutely not. Going into the merge there's going to be fractions between the two of you, and the other Boran members. Maybe there are people there who want to take the power that you guys have... I can guarantee that David, Lui and Ingrid will flip over to your side, and vote with you guys. This puts the power solely in your hands, and you two can call the shots, run the game... Play whoever you want... Hell you could take out me whenever you wanted then... That's what I can offer I suppose... Sadly Briallen cant, because if you merge without me then the others will likely panic and side with the Boran members they've spent several days with... And target you guys first, because after all you would have voted their allies out.Quote2- Adela
I don't know what the hell came over me during my plea. I felt as though I was subtly threatening Soledad, which made me feel like I was totally in the drivers seat, but caused me to pee myself at the same time. She's a tough woman and I have no doubt that she would eat me up and spit me out with ease. But maybe my tough bluff worked... I think my offer is a good one though, who wouldn't want the guarantee of controlling the power alliance at the merge. If its me then I think they've made a mistake... and they'll realize this when they're in the same position I am at the first merged tribal.

–Adela

Both Briallen and Adela made strong arguments... Its really about whether we want to remove a threat, potentially weakening the tribe, but strengthening the Boran alliance... or we could take the risk and go with strength and strategy, which could backfire horridly. Either option could backfire, because it all depends whether or not the other tribe are having the same chats we are. Deciding isn't going to be easy by any means, but its a decision that will likely be the decider in who wins this game... Either option would lead to a completely different merge scenario.

–Soledad

Soledad and Mary sit alone before tribal, ready to head over to Kris with their decision.

Quote1You're happy with it? I don't want to come back tonight and find out you were having second thoughts...Quote2- Soledad
Quote1I'm completely happy... Its better for us... I hope.Quote2- Mary

At tribal council the tribe discuss their blatant disadvantage against their rivals, who they feel will likely win the next few challenges before the merge unless luck in on their side. Briallen and Adela both admit to knowing that their heads are on the chopping block, before being asked to explain their plea's to Jeff, who is interested in knowing why they both feel the other should go over them. After a brief discussion, Jeff selects Adela to start the voting, feeling as though any further discussion will only be futile, as the old Boran members admit to having made a decision. As the votes come in, Briallen and Adela hold hands, wishing each other luck. In the end, the Boran members select strength and strategy over the safe option, ousting Briallen from the game in a 4-1 vote. Briallen hugs Adela goodbye, before wishing the tribe luck, clearly holding back tears as Jeff snuffs her torch. The remaining four Samburu members head back to camp, all hopeful that they will overcome the odds, winning the next immunity challenge.

Voting Confessionals

You're a great girl, and I do hope that its your time as opposed to mine. Its a shame that it had to come to this, but there was nothing we could do.

–Adela

Adela, you know I love you girl. Its been a strange journey, and if this is the last vote I cast then I'm grateful to have made it this far considering I've never voted in the majority the four times I've been to this God awful tribal council.

–Briallen

Briallen, you just cant give us the strength we need for the challenges.

–Kris

These three days I've spent with you have been a pleasure, and I only wish I could have spent more time with you. You're a kind hearted soul, and if it wasn't for Adela offering us a strategic deal, you'd be the one staying tonight.

–Mary

Briallen, all I can say is that you've been lovely to be around these last few days, and that I wish you the best of luck for the future.

–Soledad

Final Words

What can I say, I've had a blast! It's been an amazing adventure, and I'm glad to have made it three days further then I should have. Uh, thanks for that Phoebe. I'm immensely proud of myself for making it this far considering I ended up with the other misfits on day one. If I was to do it all over again I'd try and get in with the majority much earlier, because that definitely screwed me. Although I suppose the whole swap did... Actually no, lets not blame the swap. I was going no matter when I went to tribal next (laughs)
