Survivor: The Amazon is the sixth season of James' Survivor FanFiction. Sixteen strangers will compete against one another while battling the elements. They must learn to adapt, or they will be voted out. If they can learn to outwit, outplay, and outlast the rest, they will be given the million dollar prize and the title of sole survivor!
The winner of the season was Neasa, defeating Jenn in a 6-1 vote for the title of Sole Survivor and the $1,000,000 prize. Sheamus was named the "Player of the Season", winning $100,000.
Production
This season featured sixteen all new castaways, divided into two tribes of eight. For the first time ever, the tribes were split along gender lines. The tribes this season were Jaburu, an all female tribe wearing yellow, and Tambaqui, an all male tribe in blue. The tribes are named after the Jabiru stork and Tambaqui fish, both native to the Amazon. On Day 20, the two tribes merged into Jacaré, with its color being red.
Twists
- Battle of the Sexes: For the first time, the castaways are divided into tribes based on gender.
- Tribe Switch: After 13 days of gender wars, three members from both tribes were sent to the other tribe, creating mixed tribes.

Trivia
- This is the fourth season to feature tribes merging with an equal number of contestants, after Borneo, The Australian Outback and Thailand.
- However, it is the first season to do so that features a tribe switch.
- The Amazon is the first season to see a player evacuated from the game.
- Neasa and Jenn hold the distinction of being the first completely Caucasian all-female final two.
- This is also the third consecutive season where the winner won the most individual immunity challenges. However, it is the first where the Sole Survivor did not share their number of individual immunity wins with another contestant. Neasa also holds the record for the most consecutive individual immunity wins by a female contestant.
- The Amazon is the first season to feature tribes initially separated along gender lines.
- It was known on paper that this season would focus heavily on villains, both as character personalities and in strategy. Prior to writing it was known that Neasa, Fredrick and Isaiah would receive negative tones, with all three ultimately making the final episode.
- Unlike The Australian Outback, the negativity in The Amazon felt more justified, resulting in the author regarding it as a much better season.
- Delma received the most votes cast against her throughout the season, with 10 votes accumulated during her twenty-seven days of game time. It is noted that Hall would have likely surpassed this had he not been evacuated from the game.
