Story

Day 30 (Night)

The Moto Maji tribe returns to camp having just voted Don from the game, with Marsha and Abbas being apart of a failed blindside against Adela. Ingrid, who became the unknown swing vote at tribal, decides to sit out of everyone's way, not wanting to be confronted by Marsha, who suspected she would vote alongside her. David, Adela and Luigino, who were all oblivious to the blindside attempt, decide to question Marsha and Abbas.

Quote1Well that seemed a bit... OddQuote2- David
Quote1We're both shocked.Quote2- Abbas
Quote1You thought that was going to work?Quote2- David
Quote1From what I heard... Yeah that was going to work.Quote2- Abbas
Quote1Seriously Marsha? You tried to get me out? After all we've been through (slightly laughs)Quote2- Adela
Quote1Girl you called me out for trying to get David out. You stuck the knife in first.Quote2- Marsha
Quote1I freakin' protected you!Quote2- Adela
I am so disappointed in Marsha. Tonight she tried to get me voted out because she's mad I didn't want to go after David. She's shown herself to be two faced after that vote, and I now know that she doesn't have my back. David, Luigino and Ingrid, the people I started this game with... they do. They're the one's who I need to stay with in order to get to the end because its clear any chance of working with Marsha is down the drain.

–Adela

Quote1You screwed me first! David aint gone trust me now. So I had no choice but to make a move! Lucky for you Ingrid acted stupid and stuck with you guys where she aint gonna make the end.Quote2- Marsha
Quote1Jesus Christ. Ingrid knew about it?Quote2- David
Quote1You angel! (he kisses Ingrid's forehead)Quote2- Luigino
Quote1Adela, you are gonna win this thing unless you go home soon. You showed your loyalty was to David and not me, so it was all I could do. Try and get you out. I failed. I'll be friends with you after this, but I wont sit around and let you go on your easy path to victory without facing some sort of opposition.Quote2- Marsha
Ingrid let me down. I'm totally screwed now because I've not got a single person in the Samburu alliance who'll work with me. I had no choice but to keep calling Adela out as the threat she really is. I need to somehow turn people on her. My back up is to sadly turn on Abbas as the only other obvious vote. I'm not going to give up now, not after all the scrutiny I've faced in this game.

–Marsha

The last vote could have been horridly messy. In my opinion Ingrid isn't winning this game either way, so all she has to do is worry about placing higher to win a bit more money. She's more likely to make the finals if she went with the Boran tribe, because she'd be the snake who they take to the final two. With us she's going to go out final three, just after Adela. Once again luck favors me and everything works out. Marsha and Adela fighting when they got back to camp was music to my ears, because it means we can say goodbye to that 'all girls alliance'.

–David

Day 31

The tribe receives tree mail informing them that they will be facing their next reward challenge. Upon arrival, the group sit and are met by Jeff and a television, which he tells them will play messages from home. Marsha, Adela and Ingrid burst into tears, with everyone happy to get some love from home. Jeff goes through the entire tribes videos, with everyone shedding some tears upon seeing their families. Jeff notes that Ingrid has a "large family", to which she replies "the women are good at pushing them out", evoking laughter from her tribe mates. The castaways are told that they will now answer questions which were also given to their loved ones, and which ever person can guess what their loved one said will score a point, with the highest scorer winning the night at a resort where they will be fed, before going on a safari the next day.

Quote1First question. What is your most embarrassing moment? Abbas reveal.Quote2- Jeff Probst
Quote1Failing to turn up to my yoga class? (shrugs)Quote2- Abbas

Abbas' wife and son reveal that his most embarrassing moment was forgetting he had to teach a yoga class, leaving a group of twenty stranded outside his rented hall. Abbas laughs and is awarded the first point of the game.

Quote1Adela reveal.Quote2- Jeff Probst
Quote1Breaking out before prom?Quote2- Adela

Adela's mother and father reveal her most embarrassing moment was being knocked out within twenty seconds during her first boxing match.

Quote1Dammit...Quote2- Adela
Quote1No point for Adela.Quote2- Jeff Probst
So I reveal that I was all acne'd up before prom, and my parents reveal my first match statistics. Brilliant (laughs)

–Adela

Quote1David reveal.Quote2- Jeff Probst
Quote1Not having a girlfriend until I was twenty one...Quote2- David

David's father reveals his most embarrassing moment was getting a C on his final physics test, which he later redid and got an A grade.

Quote1(laughs) Trust the African dad to think the test grade was worse...Quote2- David
Quote1No points for David.Quote2- Jeff Probst
Quote1Love you dad... (sighs and laughs)Quote2- David
Quote1Ingrid reveal.Quote2- Jeff Probst
Quote1Getting my dress caught in the car door, and having the remove it, walking back into my house almost nude.Quote2- Ingrid

Ingrid's entire family reveal the same story, scoring her a point, much to her delight and amusement.

Quote1Luigino reveal.Quote2- Jeff Probst
Quote1I said uh... Getting kicked out of culinary school in my first year.Quote2- Luigino
Quote1(gasps) What did you do!?Quote2- Ingrid
Quote1Long story.Quote2- Luigino

Luigino is revealed to be correct, to which he replies "But I went back and got through" in an attempt to hide his embarrassment.

Quote1Finally Marsha... reveal.Quote2- Jeff Probst
Quote1Wetting myself during my graduation...Quote2- Marsha

Marsha laughs in embarrassment, with her tribe laughing around her. Marsha is revealed to be correct, causing her to hide behind her board whilst she giggles. During the next round contestants are asked what physical trait they hate most about themselves. David scores correctly, writing 'nose', with Ingrid and Marsha also scoring, writing 'wrinkles' and 'tummy/belly'. Abbas, Adela and Luigino all guess incorrectly, with Adela yet to score a point.

Quote1Marsha and Ingrid on two points. David, Luigino and Abbas on one. Adela yet to score.Quote2- Jeff Probst
Quote1Can't believe she said eyebrows... my eyebrows are fine (laughs) We'll be having words when I get home.Quote2- Abbas

The next question asks contestants to state their biggest fears. Both Abbas and Adela score, both writing 'snakes'.

Quote1Oh Marsha... (laughs)Quote2- Luigino
Quote1Wow you're hilarious Lui...Quote2- Marsha
Quote1Oh c'mon it was a joke...Quote2- Luigino

Marsha, Ingrid and David then miss the point, with David unable to identify 'failing med-school' as his biggest fear.

Quote1Dad...! What the hell. Deep water. I hate deep water (laughs)Quote2- David
Quote1Luigino reveal.Quote2- Jeff Probst
Quote1Undercooked chicken or pork.Quote2- Luigino
Quote1(laughs)Quote2- Everyone
Quote1... Really?Quote2- Jeff Probst
Quote1Yes Sir. Its dangerous and the thought of it coming from my kitchen terrifies me.Quote2- Luigino

Much to the tribes amusement, Luigino is revealed to be correct, with his wife naming 'undercooked poultry and pork' and his biggest fear.

Quote1With that round... Abbas, Luigino, Ingrid and Marsha all on two. David and Adela on one. Last question coming up... What is your greatest achievement?Quote2- Jeff Probst
Quote1Well I'm done. No way my dad and I will agree on this... (writes down answer)Quote2- David

Much to David's surprise, he scores the point, giving him a chance at winning reward. Adela fails to identify the correct answer, eliminating herself from the challenge. Abbas, Ingrid and Luigino all fail as well, leaving them on two points with David. Marsha is told that if she can identify the correct answer she will win reward, and if she fails another question will be given to everyone bar Adela.

Quote1Marsha reveal.Quote2- Jeff Probst
Quote1Being the first person in my family to go to college.Quote2- Marsha
Quote1How confident are you?Quote2- Jeff Probst
Quote1You know what I'm really confident (smiles)Quote2- Marsha
Quote1Lets see if you're right. (plays the video recording)Quote2- Jeff Probst
Quote1Well... I think we all know her BIGGEST accomplishment is... being the first person in our family to get into college... and a good college at that.Quote2- Albert (Marsha's dad)
Quote1With that Marsha wins reward!Quote2- Jeff Probst
Quote1Yes! Yes! (she jumps up and down and is congratulated by her tribe mates)Quote2- Marsha
Finally the girl who was seen as weak and useless wins something! (laughs)

–Marsha

Quote1One more thing. This reward wouldn't be much fun on your own... So pick one other person to go with you.Quote2- Jeff Probst
Quote1Oh my gosh...Quote2- Ingrid
Quote1I love you Marsha (laughs and smiles)Quote2- David
Quote1There's only one person it can be... Abbas get up here.Quote2- Marsha
Quote1Me? Really? (he runs up and hugs Marsha) Thank you so much!Quote2- Abbas
Quote1Alright. Marsha and Abbas, you've got one hell of a reward waiting for you. Night in an exclusive resort... where you will have a nights sleep in your own private beds... a feast... and tomorrow, a private safari to see he migrating wildebeest, a truly once in a lifetime experience. Grab your things and head out.Quote2- Jeff Probst
For Marsha to pick me. I am truly blessed. She and I have been together since the start of this game, and to be the last ones left I think we have a bond that no one else really does. We've only got each other, so we can only rely on one another. It'll be good to get away from the paranoid reds and to spend time with my old Boran buddy (laughs)

–Abbas

I suppose one good thing that's come from today is that we get Abbas and Marsha, the two outcasts... out of camp. I can speak with my alliance and confirm we're going to the top four together without the distraction of Marsha poking her nose into every conversation I have.

–David

Upon returning to camp, Luigino gets to boiling some rice, with David calling a 'group meeting'.

Quote1Glad they won it to be honest. It means she wont have a chance to scramble.Quote2- David
Quote1Not that scrambling would work... she really dug her own grave.Quote2- Luigino

I'm being told off by the group today. Apparently I should have told them what Marsha was doing. The truth is I like Marsha and I didn't want to sell her out to the tribe... I knew if I told them they'd have wanted to vote her out last night.

–Ingrid

Quote1Regardless of what went down. This is it. This is the final four.Quote2- David
Quote1Agreed. We started this together and we'll end it together.Quote2- Luigino
Quote1Samburu guys... we came back from the dust and took this thing.Quote2- David

The group raise their water canteens, with Ingrid pointing out that its bad luck to toast to water, causing the group to laugh, stating that bad luck hasn't ruined their games so far. The four spend their evening chatting, before going to sleep envious of Marsha and Abbas, who will be feasting and enjoying comfortable beds for the evening.

Reward

Marsha and Abbas arrive at the lodge where they are greeted by a host, who shows them around, causing Marsha to well up at the site of the clean bedding and shower. The two enjoy a hot shower, before changing into clean clothing and sitting down to a feast.

Quote1I don't get why Ingrid pulled that move.Quote2- Abbas
Quote1I don't know why that woman does anything. She's mucked up so many plans I swear... (holds her hands up)Quote2- Marsha
Me and Abbas had a great time at dinner. We just chilled and spoke about all the c**p back at camp. I know I'm probably the next to go, but hey I wasn't gonna sit around and let them walk all over my game. I know I'll have to compete against Abbas to stick around, and I hope that they see he's the bigger threat between us. But Samburu don't always make logical choices so they could end up keeping Abbas here until the final two for all I know.

–Marsha

I am a little nervous that whilst I'm here, the other four members of our tribe are probably strategizing and planning my demise. As much as I am enjoying this reward, I do think it would have been better if I was still at camp. I could control my own fate as it were. I need to make sure that when I get back to camp I have a word with David, explaining my position... and keep the target onto Marsha. The further I get in the game the better chance I've got at going on an immunity run. Its happened before, and I know I can outperform anyone on my tribe.

–Abbas

After eating, Abbas and Marsha head off to their separate rooms, where they get their first full nights rest in thirty one days.

Day 32

Marsha and Abbas are awoken by a hotel doorman, who tells them that they must get ready for the last part of their trip which will include a hot air balloon safari above the Kenyan landscape. The two enjoy the experience, getting to see the animals in their natural habitat.

To finish off the reward with the once in a lifetime safari was great. It's given me such a sense of achievement for getting this far in the game. Its made me appreciate how beautiful our world really is. You know people say the new décor of their apartment is beautiful, and you forget places like this do exist out there. I'm truly blessed.

–Marsha

The balloon ride was just an extraordinary experience. My father was born in Uganda, and he would tell me about his holidays to Kenya and other surrounding countries. I suppose its something that I didn't visualize until I've come here and seen it for myself. Its a humbling experience because I feel somewhat nostalgic which is odd considering I haven't even been here before (somewhat laughs). I would have loved for my dad to still be around to see me do this and to relate to my experience. I know he'd have been so proud. As I would be of my son.

–Abbas

Marsha and Abbas return to camp, where they are questioned by the Samburu members on their experience, which they all admit they are envious of. After several minutes of talking, Luigino mentions that the group needs to collect some water, which Marsha and Ingrid offer to do. Abbas decides to talk to David immediately, knowing he needs to reconnect their relationship.

Quote1Can I talk to you for a minute?Quote2- Abbas
Quote1Go for it.Quote2- David
As soon as I walked back into camp I knew I needed to speak with David. He is the person who is most likely to keep me safe out here, and to confirm that Marsha will be going home before me. I betrayed his trust last tribal by joining the attempted blindside against Adela, so I've got to let him think he's firmly holding my strings this time, that way he wont panic knowing that I'm really going rogue.

–Abbas

Quote1I just wanna let you know that last tribal wasn't me disrespecting you in any way.Quote2- Abbas
Quote1I feel a little let down man.Quote2- David
Quote1I get that and I'm sorry, I made a mistake. I worried because you know Adela is the biggest threat out here. I thought if I had a chance to get her out now it would be beneficial to all of us.Quote2- Abbas
Quote1But if it worked you'd be coming after me next.Quote2- David
Quote1No man it wasn't like that. If she went we'd be voting for Luigino or Don next. I'll be honest your name came up but I told them no... I owe you loyalty for all you've done for me out here.Quote2- Abbas
Quote1Right... Well I appreciate you being honest. Way things are going it should be Marsha next, and I want you to be in on that because if your not then... Pfft... you know.Quote2- David
Quote1Yeah, no I hear you. I'll write her name down one hundred and fifty per cent. But I'm warning you on Adela man, she is bad news.Quote2- Abbas
Quote1I know but... I... I don't want to take her out before Ingrid. Ingrid is the wildcard here. Adela I know has my back... Ingrid... not so much.Quote2- David
Abbas came to me like a lost puppy and pretty much spilled out all his plans he had at the previous tribal. We know Marsha is the next one to go and Abbas should join us with that. I'd love to send him home right after, but I need his vote in order to break up Ingrid and Adela's bond. Things are straight forward right now and I'm confident that Marsha, Ingrid, Abbas and Adela will be the next to go... in that order... I'll take Lui to the final two where I'll win in the first unanimous landslide.

–David

David and Abbas once again shake hands, with Luigino seeing this in the distance.

David has been my close ally from the very beginning of this game, and I want to think he's firmly got my back. The problem with David is much like Marsha and Adela he's a very smart player. Almost a slimy player. He makes deals with everyone from what I can see and tries to rally up jury votes. He made a deal with Abbas behind my back, and he acts like he's the one calling the shots. You know I'm here to win myself the million dollars, and going against David might not be the wisest move for my game.

–Luigino

Day 33

The final six receive tree mail informing them that they will be facing their next individual immunity challenge. Both Abbas and Marsha know that in order to guarantee their safety they must win, as it will likely be one of them heading home at tonight's tribal council.

For someone who gets told he's a physical threat, I haven't really had much luck in these challenges. As of now I'm on par with Marsha in terms of how many I've actually won. That's not something I'm immensely proud of because I need to win in order to get myself to the final two. Although I can say on the other hand that not winning these challenges will lower the speculation that I could go on an immunity run, which will keep the target off my back.

–Abbas

After winning the last challenge I feel pumped, especially because my ass is on the line. If I don't win today I may as well head on home immediately because Ingrid, Adela, Luigino and David are all set on taking me out...

–Marsha

Challenge: Pot Shots
Eighteen clay pots hung on a line. Each Survivor's name was marked on three pots. Using an African weapon known as a Ringa, the group had to throw the wooden sticks at their opponents' pots, trying to break the ones that didn't bear their own name. The last person left with an unbroken pot would win Immunity.

Upon returning to camp, Marsha decides to speak to the entire tribe.

Quote1Listen guys. No point in goin' off to confirm what we already know. I'm going home tonight and I accept that. I know I'm done here, and there's no need for any chats about it. I tried my best, and I've had a great time... But please... can we all just... not waste time discussing it.Quote2- Marsha
Quote1Marsha you don't know that you're going...Quote2- Ingrid
Quote1I'm not stupid Ingrid. I know you guys have it all worked out in your head. Wrongly you want to take out the girl who isn't even going to win but... whatever.Quote2- Marsha
Of course we get a favoritism challenge in which I have no chance of winning. I only thank luck for being on my side because Ingrid went out before me because Luigino couldn't aim at my pots for s**t. I told the group that I'm pretty much done, but I'm not. No way I'm giving in now. If I can turn the attention subtly onto Abbas, then I think I've got a shot of staying in this game.

–Marsha

Abbas goes to pack his bag for tribal, but David tells him not to bother, telling him that the vote is going to be Marsha. Abbas says he doesn't want to get too confident, and decides to pack his bag anyway.

There have been too many cases this game of people not packing their bags for tribal because they didn't think they were the target. I'm not going to risk that (laughs). The second you get overconfident you let the target drift onto yourself.

–Abbas

Things worked out well today. Marsha didn't win immunity, we can now send her home unanimously, and then we can help Ingrid on her way after. I'm shocked that no one has really had a successful blindside against my alliance throughout this whole merge... They're idiots to have let the Samburu group control vote after vote. They had the power and they handed it to us one at a time.

–David

Whilst lying together, Marsha subtly begins to talk to Adela and Ingrid about what they plan to do once she's gone from the game. Adela admits she has plans, with Ingrid stating she's somewhat unsure. Marsha tells them that they should worry about the bond between Abbas and David, pointing over to the two men speaking. Adela agrees that it is worrying, but states she isn't concerned as David "wouldn't be stupid enough to bring him (Abbas) over one of us". Marsha tells the girls that they may as well try to get Abbas out, as it will guarantee that they can go to the final two over David and Luigino, who would hold the power once she is voted out. Marsha goes on to point out Abbas is a physical threat, and has the respect of the Boran jury members, unlike herself.

I managed to get a chance to speak with both Adela and Ingrid. I suppose all I needed to get them alone was to convince David I had given up. I don't know how much of it they really responded to, because they kept their poker faces on, didn't want to give anything away. If they listen to me then great, because it means I stick around a little longer. If they don't then... they go home next, and I suppose that'll be justice I can enjoy. You don't win this game by sticking with your alliance hoping for the best.

–Marsha

I know that Marsha wants to stay here badly, but she pretty much made her bed last tribal and now she's gotta lie in it. She raised some good points, as Abbas is a bigger threat than she is physically and socially... but strategically she is superior to all of us combined. Marsha could convince anyone if you give her long enough, and I hope that I'm not falling for a trick, and that she is being genuine when she says Abbas needs to go. Another issue is that if we do vote Abbas, we'll cause a tie... and based on prior votes Marsha goes home so... what can we do to really save her?

–Adela

At tribal council Marsha and Abbas acknowledge they are both on the outs, and that one of them will be leaving. They both admit to campaigning against one another, and hope that their campaign was stronger than the other. David, Luigino, Adela and Ingrid all state they feel confident in their position, believing they will be the final four, which is met by Marsha rolling her eyes, pointing out that there are two duo's in the Samburu alliance, and that one of them will have power over Abbas' vote, whilst the other can have hers if they keep her past tribal. With very little surprises, Jeff gets to the voting, with no one hesitating to write down a name. As the votes are revealed, Marsha is unsurprised to see her name pulled from the urn four times, signaling the end of her roller-coaster of a game. Marsha wishes Abbas luck, hugging her friend goodbye, before wiping a tear from her cheek as Jeff snuffs her torch. Phillis and Soledad both look pleased to see Marsha eliminated, whilst Don shakes his head in disappointment at Boran being taken out one by one. The final five grab their things and head back to camp, with Abbas as the sole remaining member of the original Boran tribe.

Voting Confessionals

I don't want to write your name down, but I know you're doing me so... its only fair. Hopefully I can go on to win this for you, me and the rest of Boran. Its great to have known you these last thirty days.

–Abbas

You and I were pretty close for a while, and you decided to come after me for no apparent reason. Your impatience in the game is what screwed you, not my reluctance to blindside David.

–Adela

Marsha, you're a tough girl and I know you'd just stir it up if you stayed any longer. Good job on making it this far.

–David

Once again I'm sorry to go against you. You are a special girl, and I know you'll achieve great things. One of those things will not be winning Survivor, but you can leave here with your head held up high.

–Ingrid

You talk too much and to keep the group safe you need to head home.

–Luigino

I think legitimately you should go if the Samburu tribe was smart, but knowing them its me going. Hell I know its me going. I'm just voting you on the off chance that Ingrid or Adela stop being so spineless.

–Marsha

Final Words

This game was everything I had hoped for and then some. I want to thank my parents for giving me the push I needed to apply, because without them I wouldn't have experienced this wonderful game. I feel ashamed to say I didn't make the final tribal council, but I'm glad to have outlasted Soledad and Phillis, both of whom thought they had me out weeks ago. I wish Abbas the best of luck, and hope he exceeds my expectation and makes the final alongside David... That way I can vote for a worthy winner, and slate an undeserving player.
