Adela is a contestant from Survivor: Africa. Adela quickly proved herself to be the strongest of the Samburu females, gaining her a position in the majority alliance, alongside close partner David. After losing the first two challenges, and ally Phoebe who quit, Adela found herself left with only four fellow tribe members. Things went from bad to worse when she became stuck on the Samburu tribe with Briallen during the tribe switch, whilst her allies all moved over to Boran. Despite being the obvious target of the two, Adela convinced Soledad, Mary and Kris to oust Briallen, and eventually got the latter voted out due to a strategic deal she made with the ex-Boran girls. At the merge, Adela wanted to uphold her deal, joining an all girls alliance with Soledad, Mary and Marsha. However, Adela's old allies from Samburu went against her, causing Mary to become the first casualty of the merge, leaving Adela on the outs. Adela worked her way back into the Samburu alliance, where she helped consecutively remove members of Boran. Adela later fell out with close ally Marsha, voting her out in favor of David, which would later prove to be a mistake, as Ingrid no longer trust Adela, joining Abbas and Luigino in voting her out of the game, deeming her to be one of the biggest threats to win. Adela received a positive reception from the audience, with many hoping that she would become the shows first female winner. Adela's popularity won her "Player of the Season", gaining $100,000.
